Spend a week in a distillery
Sons of Vancouver is located in North Vancouver, BC and was founded in 2015. Since opening their doors, partners James and Richard have gained a reputation not only for making great products, but also for their openness and willing to share their knowledge in helping to build the industry. They offer a one-week, hands-on workshop with the goal of giving you the knowledge to run your own craft distillery.
Stills are running Monday morning!
This isn't your typical classroom-based distilling course, where you sit and stare at presentations. You'll get hands on experience with:
Mashing grain
Brewing
Cleaning
Running the stills
Tasting and nosing spirits at different stages
Proofing final spirits
Labelling & bottles
Getting down to business.
We're not going to make you work the entire time. There is no classroom, but we'll have plenty of time to chat about:
Fundamental distilling concepts
Business planning
Budgeting
Licensing
Distillery operations
Approaches to branding
Sales and distribution

Don't worry - you can join this course with zero knowledge. We'll sit down with you first thing Monday morning and get you up to speed on what it means to distill spirits. It's not that hard!
